Diabetes and Exercise – Why the Connection is Vitally Important

Diabetes results from the body’s inability to produce enough insulin, or respond to the insulin that is produced. This results in high levels of blood sugar, otherwise known as glucose. Insulin is produced to help the body absorb glucose. If glucose is not properly absorbed and turned into energy, it accumulates in the body and can result in nerve issues, vascular problems and a wide range of other complications.
